The "Landesportal Baden-Württemberg.de" is a substantial project with an extensive web presence, comprising numerous web pages and components. It encompasses the "Landesportal" itself, housing information about Baden-Württemberg, as well as the websites of 12 different ministries, and the "Beteiligungsportal".

It utilizes a component library based on Fractal to maintain a consistent design, along with the integration of microservices using React (e.g. interactive map). The project is built upon an existing TYPO3 backend, presenting integration challenges.

I already played a huge role in the first relaunch in 2018, providing ongoing support ever since. As I know all about this project, I was glad to be asked again to do the relaunch in 2024. This time I was teaming up with one Typo3 developer to conquer this massive relaunch in the timespan of about 6 months. The newest relaunch added the challenge of working together with a variety of different companies and government institutions as our component library is now used as the first guide on how to use the new CI of Baden-Württemberg in a web environment.
